Preschool Unit: 3-5 years old
This area caters for children aged betweem 3-5 years old.
We provide a structured learning environment which is designed to equip children with the skills that help them in their development toward the new entrant educational system. We have a very good rapport with the local school's and they often comment on how well the Flying Start children settle and progress throughout their time at school.
The educators break the children into three developmental groups for sessions throughout the day where they can concentrate on each individual's needs and help them to achieve their personal goals.
The children are offered other spontaneous and planned experiences through the day and are encouraged to make their own choices and have a voice in what they would like to do. Educators follow and extend on the children's interests. Children in this unit are encouraged to become independent with a range of self-help and self-care skills which will enable them to grow up as confident and competent learners.
Our pre-school unit operates from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
