Flying Start's vision for our centre is to ensure that there are experiences that enable all children to be empowered with the opportunity of a head start in their pre-school education.
Centre Philosophy
Flying Start childcare is an extension of home. Where social, loving and reciprocal relationships are formed between parents and family/whanau.
Flying Start Childcare provides a calm, secure and stable learning environment, which encompasses the principles set out in the 'Tiriti o Waitangi' as well as meeting the needs of the multi-cultural diversity for all the families of this centre.
Flying Start follows "Te Whaariki" the early childhood curriculum. Our programme provides an environment for creative, expressive and self-initiated learning and development.
Our staff strive towards teaching excellence. Working alongside parents and their family/whanau, as partners in their child's continuing education.
Our children at Flying Start Childcare are affirmed as individuals and have an equitable opportunity to explore and enjoy their learning and development.
